Check a fashion item's size and condition before buying

Before you start

Know which item you want. For a one-of-one piece, confirm it is still available before making a payment.

Steps

  1. Read the description and inspect every photo. For thrift clothing, look for stated wear, repairs and defects rather than assuming the piece is new.
  2. Check the size and measurement unit. Ask whether measurements describe the garment or the body; a label size alone does not guarantee fit.
  3. Ask the seller about missing measurements, fabric, stretch or condition using the contact details on their shop. Keep the answer with your order details.
  4. For bespoke work, agree the design, measurements, fabric responsibilities and fitting plan before accepting a quote or paying a deposit.
  5. Check the selected item, quantity, GHS total and fulfilment details again at checkout. Stop if they differ from the agreement.

Check the result

You have enough information to decide on the actual item or custom request, and a record of any extra promises the seller made.

If something goes wrong

If the seller cannot answer a fit or condition question, wait before buying. For an item already received that differs from its description, keep the listing evidence and use the wrong/damaged-item guide or contact Support.
